ANDREAS MAGDANZ
Andreas Magdanz presents the viewer with emotional but calm glimpses of spaces and objects in venues fraught with significance. Abandoned official locations, where time seems to have stood still, have revealed a purity of light and form through his photographs. Magdanz is a professor of photography at HAWK, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Hildesheim, Holzminden, Göttingen. His work has been shown at SFMoMA, Tate Modern, London, the Arlington Arts Center, Virginia, Museum of Photography Antwerp, Belgium, and the Rheinisches Landesmuseum, Bonn, Germany, to name a few.
